15 Dec Ray Van Grouw, CPA

Over the last few decades I’ve been employed by CPA firms of various sizes in both Michigan and New Jersey. I was a partner in a CPA firm in New Jersey for a number of years, in addition to owning my own firm for 20+ years. Because I’ve seen both sides of the spectrum, I know what it’s like to make less than I need and I know what it’s like to make more than I need. Along the way I’ve made mistakes – but have always learned and grown from them.
Education
- Bachelor of Arts degree from Upsala College, East Orange, NJ

As an accountant, I love to meet and interact with people of all ages and backgrounds. I find clients in general to so interesting and diverse, yet have so much in common because personal finances, income and wealth preservation is a dominant theme for most. I can relate at virtually every level and find myself quickly entering their lives at a personal level. I believe this is important because oftentimes advice that is good for one person may not work for another.
I’ve been married to my trophy wife for over 42 years. We have 3 married children who so far, have given us 14 grandchildren! We also have a senior in high school who came around when his older brother went off to college. We often say he has kept us young….or was it made us old (I’m still not sure.) Outside of work I can be found spending time with my family, hiking, biking, canoeing, traveling and reading.
If you’re looking for someone who understands both business and personal finances, contact us today. Our team of accountants is here to work for you.
